ADMISSION POLICY
To be eligible for admission to the American Academy of
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, applicants must have completed at least two
academic years (60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits) of education at the
baccalaureate level that is appropriate preparation for graduate level work, or
the equivalent (e.g., certification in a medical profession requiring at least
the equivalent training of a registered nurse or a physician’s assistance)
from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of
Education.
ADMISSION DOCUMENTS
Applicants must submit the following.

Completed Application for Admission Form. Call or
email to receive an application form, or you can click
here to open an application form which you can print out at home.
When the page opens, just print it in your browser, fill in the
application and mail it to us along with the other required documents
and application fee.

A letter stating applicant’s personal, educational and
professional goals, with reasons for wishing to attend the American Academy of
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions
attended.

In the case of non-English-speaking foreign institutions
other than Chinese, a translation of the transcript by an authorized translation
service must be submitted in addition to the original transcript.

Two letters of recommendation.

As English is the language of instruction for all classes, if
the Admissions Committee determines that an applicant’s English language
ability may not be sufficient, the applicant must provide proof of having
achieved a minimum of 500 on the TOEFL exam to be qualified for admission to the
program.

Application fee of $50.00.
In addition to the documents required for admission, as noted above, a school
official must personally meet with the applicant in a face-to-face interview.
