Within the curriculum, students may emphasize acupuncture, Chinese herbology, and/or Oriental medicine, and they may focus on one or more of areas of specialization in traditional Chinese internal medicine, such as gynecology, pediatrics, or dermatology. The program runs twelve trimesters, with fifteen weeks per trimester. The maximum time to program completion is eight years. Part-time study is allowed.
